I first visited the land two years ago. All of the exterior walls were standing, protecting the land from travelling nomads. One well was under construction- only a few feet down and nowhere near abundant water. My team and I prayer walked for hours, praising the Lord for the labourers who came before us and for those who would come behind. Talks of dormitories and church buildings and schools felt so distant. As I stand on the other side of those two years- wow. Our Lord is such an incredible Provider!

There are multiple water wells and foundations and crops on this land today. There are literal labourers in these fields tending daily to a vision that was planted many years ago. I peered down into the well that was once only a few feet down and this time I couldn’t see the bottom. I saw pomegranate trees and the construction of a cattle barn right beside the foundation of the Men’s Bible College dormitory. Progress seems slow when you are in the midst of it, but give it a couple years and I promise the Lord’s provision will shine through. What once was wilderness is now a land being prepared for the spreading of the gospel. What once seemed impossible is now being made possible in the name of Jesus. – written by A. Casey (June 2017)
